part 1

I watched the latest Twilight installment last night. I didn’t think it was too bad.
The acting has marginally improved and the gross factor was through the roof.
The worst bit? 12 months until part 2.

not contagious

Last night I went to see the movie Contagion, based on the good reviews and ratings I’d read.
Fail.
Who rates these movies? Nothing really happens. There is no real story line other than people die and they find a cure.
Recommendation: don’t waste your time or money on this one.

drought breaker

We finally notched up a win! A 29 point victory over the number 2 team.
That leaves my worst run at 6 games in a row. As one of my close friends pointed out the other day, I’m a terrible loser. I prefer to look at it as that I cannot accept failure.

a/c pain

I recent acquired my bimmer and the AC wasn’t working so I took it in to get regarded. The result? The compressor and drier need replacing, which would cost more than the car cost me.
Yay for a sun roof and windows.

volleyball

Playing indoor beach Volkeyball today with the guys.
I put together what I thought was the winning team and we called ourselves the Miami Heat.
We got wasted by some state volleyballers…

zits

I thought once I got older zits would stop. I make sure I clean my face properly and watch what I eat, but still they appear from time to time.
Last night I was at a ball with dignitaries and was asked to pose for a photo for the state newspaper, with a big zit on my lip. Dang it.

I’ve preordered an iPhone 4S. It arrives on Friday.
I’m as excited as a kid the week before Christmas.
I played around with a Samsung Galaxy S2, but wasn’t entirely impressed. It is a fantastic phone, and easily the iPhones biggest competition, but it just didn’t do it for me.

am i horrible?

We had a mate over the other night and he recommended to my housemate that he should ask a certain girl out. Now, I had been keen to ask her out but I was under the impression that she was already taken. So, today o asked her out, before my housemate could have a chance.
I don’t think I’ll tell him? Surely it doesn’t matter that much, especially if he never knows. Right?

milestone 2

I’ve made some great progress today on the development work for SouthWestMarket.com.au
I’ve pretty much finished the main work on the admin area, minus some workflow stuff and final banking configuration.
Now it’s time for testing and refining!!

battlefield

I’ve spent an hour or so on the new Battlefield 3 beta and here are my impressions.
I really hope vehicles are awesome, because the non-vehicle gameplay is pretty average.
I know it’s only a beta, and it’s still much better than Black Ops 5 months after it was released, but with all the hype before BF was released I’m quite let down.
The party system is terrible, and what is the deal with the screen returning to a window after every round??
At this stage I’m not planning on picking up the full game. I’ll be waiting for D3 and MW3!!
